
Emma Altman
Emma Altman is a New York City based fashion designer and educator with over 15 years of experience in Design and CAD.
She studied Apparel Design at the Rhode Island School of Design and has worked for a variety of labels including industry icon Betsey Johnson and Victoria’s Secret PINK.
She is the founder of her own namesake vegan clothing & accessory brand which is based in NYC and sold across the U.S. and Europe. Her brand has showcased during NYFW for 13 seasons.
With nearly a decade of teaching experience, Emma has served as the Global Fashion Specialist for the non-profit organization Artolution, teaching design with teens in refugee camps and displaced communities all over the world including Uganda, Greece and Poland. Through her work with Artolution, she has partnered with organizations including UNHCR, Gucci: Chime for Change and UNIQLO USA, Japan and Europe. She also teaches fashion & design locally with youth in Central Harlem.
