Annabelle Walsh is a fashion educator, scholar, and researcher specializing in the intersection of music, fashion, and subculture.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Strategic Design and Management and a Master’s in Fashion Studies from Parsons School of Design, where she now teaches. In her teaching of fashion history, theory, and research methods, Annabelle supports students in exploring how fashion relates to culture, identity, and business, encouraging them to think about why people wear what they wear and how fashion shapes the world around us. She is passionate about helping students discover the aspects of fashion that most inspire them and supporting them as they develop their own ideas and interests.
Annabelle’s professional experience includes teaching at Parsons, Pratt Institute, and Vogue Summer School. She has also worked in wholesale with designers Rosie Assoulin and Roxanne Assoulin, and contributed editorial content for Beck Jewels and the Fashion Studies Journal.
Annabelle’s research focuses on how music scenes give rise to distinctive fashion cultures and subcultural styles. She has presented this work at the Popular Culture Association National Conference (2022–2026) as both panel chair and presenter and has forthcoming publications on these topics.
