Vogue Summer Program: Fashion Business is an accredited four-week summer program in New York which introduces undergraduate-level students to the world of fashion business. Through an immersive curriculum and exploration of New York’s fashion scene, you’ll learn about the core aspects of the industry and put your knowledge into practice in a final project that showcases your skills and insights.

Modules
Week 1: Foundations of Fashion Business
Understand New York City’s fashion ecosystem and the fundamentals behind the ‘New York Narrative’ and fashion scene.
Week 2: Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Retail Futures
Explore innovation, market disruption and the balance between luxury and sustainability in the current New York City retail climate.
Week 3: Fashion Storytelling and Media Strategy
Build proficiencies in editorial storytelling, styling and media strategies.
Week 4: The Future of Fashion
Examine how the industry is evolving and explore key subjects including careers, sustainability and innovation in fashion.
Site Visits
Visits will include a combination of trips to major New York City art museums and galleries, as well as designers’ studios and other places related to fashion, including the esteemed Vogue HQ.
Site visits may include:
- Vogue HQ
- Spring Studios
- The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art
- Brooklyn Museum
- Museum of Arts and Design
- Flagship stores along the Garment District on Fifth Avenue
- Boutiques in fashion districts such as Williamsburg, Bushwick, Chelsea, East Village and Noho
- Designer studios and ateliers
Guest Lectures
Vogue Summer Program: Fashion Business students will learn directly from industry insiders and experts who will offer first-hand insight into the fashion world. Guest lectures may include:
- Vogue editors
- Brand directors
- Chief content officers
- Behavioral psychologists
- Fashion stylists
- Fashion photographers
- And more
Accreditation
Domestic (U.S.) students will be eligible to earn academic credit upon completion of the program. All courses are accredited for 4 US credits through the University of Montana.
