Vogue January Term: Fashion Styling is an intensive two-week study abroad program in London for undergraduate students interested in fashion media, communications, creative direction, and related disciplines. Combining practical learning with industry engagement, the course provides an immersive introduction to the creative and commercial role of styling within the global fashion industry.
Through hands-on workshops, editorial projects, industry visits, and expert-led sessions, you will explore how fashion imagery is developed and communicated across a range of media platforms. You’ll examine the role of styling in shaping visual narratives, influencing brand perception, and engaging contemporary audiences, while gaining insight into the creative processes behind editorial content, advertising campaigns, and digital media.
Visits to studios, showrooms, media organizations, and cultural institutions will provide valuable context for understanding the relationship between styling, storytelling, and fashion business.

Classes meet Monday-Friday over the scheduled two weeks, with two class sessions per day:

Course Topics
Students will explore the creative, cultural, and commercial principles that shape contemporary fashion styling and image-making.

- Fashion styling fundamentals
- Creative direction and visual storytelling
- Styling for magazine editorial and advertising campaigns
- Fashion photography
- Fashion imagery
- Contemporary industry practices
- The global fashion industry
Site Visits
Visits will include a combination of trips to major London art museums and galleries, as well as designers’ studios and other places related to fashion, including the esteemed Vogue HQ.
Site visits may include:
- British Vogue & Condé Nast HQ
- Behind-the-scenes retail visits to Chanel, Burberry, Selfridges, Harrods, etc.
- Bond Street & Savile Row
- Victoria & Albert Museum
- Design Museum
- Photography studios and PR agencies
Guest Lectures
Vogue January Term: Fashion Styling students will learn directly from industry insiders and experts who will offer first-hand insight into the fashion world.
Guest lectures may include:
- Celebrity stylists

- Digital fashion strategists
- Creative directors
- Model and talent agents
Tuition and Fees
Tuition
£2,650 £2,475 for those who apply by the Early Bird Deadline on October 5.
Optional Accommodation
£1,595
Deposit
A program deposit of £1,150 is required for students to reserve their enrollment in the program. The deposit is credited toward the total tuition amount.
Application Fee
To apply, students are required to submit a non-refundable £40 fee via the online application.
Admissions
We seek applicants with a passion for fashion, media and luxury lifestyle industries, ready to make an impact on the future of fashion. This course is open to applicants at least 18 years old by the beginning of the program and currently enrolled in an undergraduate university program.
Applying students are required to have a minimum 2.5 GPA or equivalent and will need to upload an unofficial copy of their most current university transcript as well as provide a short personal statement detailing their interest in the program. For non-native English speakers, we require a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, TOEFL score of 85 IBT, CEFR score of B2, or a Duolingo score of 120.
The program is suitable for students studying a wide range of major subjects across, humanities, arts, fashion and business.
