Vogue January Term: Fashion Marketing is an intensive two-week study abroad program in New York City designed for undergraduate students interested in fashion, marketing, business, communications, and related disciplines. Combining academic study with direct industry engagement, the course offers an immersive introduction to how fashion brands build, position, and market themselves in a competitive global landscape.

Through company visits, retail tours, guest lectures, networking opportunities, and hands-on brand analysis projects, you will explore the strategies that drive success across luxury, contemporary, and emerging fashion businesses. Examining real-world marketing campaigns and consumer trends, you’ll gain insight into how brands develop their identity, communicate with audiences, and adapt to an evolving digital marketplace.

Expert-led sessions introduce key concepts in brand strategy, consumer behavior, digital marketing, content creation, and luxury retail, while industry visits provide firsthand exposure to the business of fashion in one of the world’s leading fashion capitals.

Site Visits

Visits will include a combination of trips to major New York City art museums and galleries, as well as designers’ studios and other places related to fashion, including the esteemed Vogue HQ.

Site visits may include:

  • Vogue and Condé Nast HQ
  • Behind-the-scenes retail visits to Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Printemps New York
  • Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Ave, and Bloomingdales
  • PR & fashion marketing agencies
  • The Metropolitan Museum of Art
  • The Brooklyn Museum

Guest Lectures

Vogue January Term: Fashion Marketing students will learn directly from industry insiders and experts who will offer first-hand insight into the fashion world.

Guest lectures may include:

  • Brand directors
  • Celebrity stylists
  • Digital fashion strategists
  • Creative directors
  • PR directors
  • Digital retail leads

Schedule

Program orientation will take place during the first morning class session on Monday, January 4.

Final project presentations will be scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, January 15, with a closing event that evening.

Residential students should plan to arrive at the program housing on Sunday, January 3 and depart on Saturday, January 16.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition

$3,500 $3,275 for those who apply by the Early Bird Deadline on October 5.

Optional Accommodation

$1,950

Deposit

A program deposit of $1,500 is required for students to reserve their enrollment in the program. The deposit is credited toward the total tuition amount.

Application Fee

To apply, students are required to submit a non-refundable $50 fee via the online application.

Admissions

We seek applicants with a passion for fashion, media and luxury lifestyle industries, ready to make an impact on the future of fashion. This course is open to applicants at least 18 years old by the beginning of the program and currently enrolled in an undergraduate university program.

Applying students are required to have a minimum 2.5 GPA or equivalent and will need to upload an unofficial copy of their most current university transcript as well as provide a short personal statement detailing their interest in the program. For non-native English speakers, we require a minimum IELTS score of 6.5, TOEFL score of 85 IBT, CEFR score of B2, or a Duolingo score of 120.

The program is suitable for students studying a wide range of major subjects across, humanities, arts, fashion and business.
