Our MA Fashion Communication programme is designed to immerse you in the dynamic world of fashion, offering a comprehensive education rooted in the expertise of Vogue. The curriculum integrates structured academic learning with hands-on experience, including practical workshops, self-directed research, and industry-led masterclasses.
The MA Fashion Communication programme is tailored to provide you with the essential skills and knowledge to excel in various communication roles within the fashion industry, such as brand communication, digital marketing, and public relations. You will develop a deep understanding of the evolving fashion landscape, focusing on strategic communication, audience engagement, and brand storytelling. The course emphasises critical thinking, creative innovation, and professional practice, ensuring that you are well-equipped to navigate the complexities of fashion communication.
Collaboration with peers and industry professionals is a core component of the programme. A four-week optional work placement and live industry project are included, providing you with valuable industry experience.
Structure
This one-year programme is structured over four 10-week terms at RQF level 7. It combines academic study with industry-focused skills, preparing you for a career in the fashion media, fashion business, and luxury lifestyle industries.

Brand Communication & Marketing Strategy
This module delves into the strategies and methods used in brand communication within the fashion industry. You’ll explore how brands create and execute marketing strategies to connect with their target audiences. The focus is on developing the practical skills needed to craft compelling brand narratives and communicate them effectively across various media channels.
Critical Research: Understanding Audiences
This module equips you with essential research skills to understand and engage with fashion audiences. You’ll explore different research methods, both qualitative and quantitative, and learn how to apply these insights to create more effective communication strategies. The module emphasises the importance of connecting research findings with practical applications in fashion media.
Fashion Re-imagined
In this module, you’ll examine the evolving landscape of fashion communication and explore new ways to represent fashion in a dynamic industry. You’ll be encouraged to challenge traditional approaches and think creatively about how fashion can be re-imagined in a digital and socially conscious world. The goal is to develop innovative strategies that reflect the future of fashion communication.
Creative Collaboration: Applied Fashion Communication
This module focuses on the importance of collaboration in the fashion industry. You’ll work on real-world projects, applying your knowledge in a team setting to create impactful fashion communication campaigns. The emphasis is on developing strong collaborative skills and understanding the role of teamwork in producing successful fashion media content.
Final Master’s Project
The Final Master’s Project allows you to bring together all your learning into a focused, practical outcome. Whether you choose to develop a portfolio, initiate a live project, or explore an entrepreneurial idea, your work will be supported by a written thesis. This project aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice, showcasing your ability to apply what you’ve learned in a real-world context.

Accrediting Body & Award Structure
This programme holds international recognition as a degree qualification accredited and conferred by The University of Buckingham. It is structured as four 10-week terms spread across one academic year at RQF level 7. The programme combines academic rigour and industry engagement with practical and professional skills, drawing on the expertise of Vogue’s wide network of industry professionals.
Credits
The degree carries a value of 180 credits within the UK’s Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) at level 7, equivalent to 90 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) credits.

This programme contains modules, experiences and opportunities designed to equip you with the essential skills, knowledge and practice crucial for a successful fashion career, from personal development to professional working practice.
Within the course content, there will be many career and professional development elements and activities available to you, including:

Deposit Payment & Instalment Options
To secure your place on the course, a deposit of £3,000.00 is required within 14 days of receiving your offer. Please note, the deposit option is unavailable for bookings made within six weeks of the course start date where full course fees are required.
Students have the option to pay the tuition fee in instalments over the duration of the course. International students are required to pay the first instalment of the course fee in full and in advance to obtain the CAS number necessary for Student Visa purposes.
Student Loans, Scholarships, & Bursaries
Students studying at Vogue College of Fashion are currently ineligible for student loans.
