This five-day intensive course explores how fashion stories are conceived, written, and brought to life within today’s media landscape. Combining the foundations of fashion journalism with contemporary content creation skills, students will learn how to craft engaging narratives and adapt them for multiple platforms.

Go Inside Modern Fashion Media

Gain a realistic, up-to-date understanding of how fashion media operates today, from traditional publishing to social-first platforms. Explore the roles, workflows, and industry dynamics shaping modern fashion storytelling within the Vogue ecosystem.

Write, Create, and Tell Stories Across Platforms

Develop both writing and content creation skills by learning how to craft compelling fashion narratives and translate them into digital, social, and visual formats. Build confidence in expressing a strong editorial voice across multiple platforms.

Build a Portfolio in Just 5 Days

Create portfolio-ready work through hands-on workshops, editorial exercises, and a final multi-platform publishing project. Leave the course with tangible outputs, including written pieces and content concepts that showcase your skills.

Course Structure

Day 1

The course begins with an introduction to the foundations of fashion journalism, alongside an exploration of today’s evolving media landscape.

Day 2

Students will examine audiences, public relations, and editorial storytelling, including a live “masthead” session with industry professionals.

Day 3

The focus shifts to writing for fashion media, covering everything from news and features to trend-led editorial copy.

Day 4

Students will explore visual storytelling for fashion platforms, working across still imagery, moving image, and social-first content, complemented by an external industry visit.

Day 5

The course concludes with a Vogue newsroom experience, where students apply their learning in a multi-platform publishing project.

Structure

Across five days, students move from the foundations of fashion journalism into practical, industry-style content development. Through writing workshops, editorial exercises, content sessions and talks from Condé Nast staff and other fashion media experts, students will explore how fashion stories are developed across written, visual and social formats.

The course also includes industry-led activities, such as a live masthead session and external visit, and builds towards a final Vogue newsroom-style project presentation, with opportunities for students to work both individually and collaboratively throughout the week.

Accreditation

Accrediting Body & Award Structure

This program is awarded by Vogue College of Fashion. It is structured as a five-day program. The program combines academic rigor and industry engagement with practical and professional skills, drawing on the expertise of Vogue’s wide network of industry professionals.

Credits

The course carries no credits within the UK’s Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

Certification

Students who successfully complete a 5 Days of course will receive a certificate of completion. Certificates are awarded to students who attend a minimum of 80% of the course (4 days), including the final presentation day, and actively participate in core sessions and final outputs.

This short program contains tasks, experiences and opportunities designed to equip you with the introductory skills, knowledge and practice crucial for starting to build a successful career in fashion from personal development to professional practice.

Within the course content, there will be career and professional development elements and activities available to you such as meeting industry professionals, learning about different career journeys and understanding potential careers opportunities.

Deposit Payment & Instalment Options

To secure your place on the course, the tuition fee must be paid in full at the point of booking. Please note, there is no deposit option available for bookings.

Students do not have the option to pay the tuition fee in instalments for this course.

Student Loans, Scholarships, & Bursaries

Students studying at Vogue College of Fashion are currently ineligible for student loans.
