Tell us a bit about yourself, your work, and your career path
I currently focus on creating content around fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. I’ve been in the fashion industry for nine years. I started working for a well-known swimwear brand in my country called MAAJI, and later became independent to offer personalized image consulting. That’s when I began sharing my first image tips on social media — and that marked the beginning of my journey as a fashion influencer. Today, my Instagram community exceeds 40,000 followers (@aparenza_).

How did you first discover us?
Ever since I lived in Barcelona in 2017, I dreamed of moving to Madrid to study at Vogue. After attending another fashion school, I realized that the best practical experiences and professional insights were truly at Vogue College. That’s where I felt I could fully immerse myself in the fashion world and get closer to the heart of the industry.
That dream came true in 2023 when I traveled to Madrid to attend the Summer School Styling course in person. It gave me goosebumps — every professor, every tutorial, every field trip, and every visit to the practice rooms on campus was magical. Walking into those classrooms filled with garments for our projects brought tears to my eyes. When I finished, I promised myself I’d return for more. For now, I took an online course for its flexibility — but I’m eager to come back in person.
Which online course did you take?
Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle Journalism.
What did the course give you?
It gave me so much clarity on how to approach different topics. As a content creator in this industry, you’re essentially acting as a media outlet — and if you want to stand out and be taken seriously, you need to build on a solid foundation.
Which professor or session stood out to you?
I particularly loved the classes that explained the structure of the fashion system and how it works in its various forms. For example, I’d long wanted to clearly understand how fashion shows function and how to interpret them. Vicente and David were key instructors for me.
What did you enjoy the most?
Everything. It was a truly comprehensive experience. We had the lesson, a follow-up tutorial to answer any questions, plus assignments and evaluations — which really helps you internalize the content instead of just skimming through it.
I was also impressed with the Canva platform. Everything was right there, easy to use, and nothing felt missing.
If you could repeat a course, which would you choose?
Jmmm… I have a list of several I want to take! But out of the two I’ve done, I would definitely repeat the styling course because of the hands-on work.

Why would you recommend Vogue College of Fashion’s online courses?
Because they offer flexibility — especially for those of us living far away. I live in Colombia, so it’s not easy to leave my husband and family for three months or more. With the online format, I was able to continue pursuing my dream of expanding my fashion education from home, with one of the best institutions out there. Everything was incredibly complete and well organized.
