Why did you decide to enroll in Vogue Summer School?
I decided to enroll because I had been thinking about studying fashion for a long time. Since it was my last summer before applying to college, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to fully commit to the fashion world.
I wanted to be sure about what to pursue before taking the next step, and enrolling in Vogue Summer School helped me explore that passion in a real and meaningful way.
Which course did you enroll in and why?
I chose the Fashion Styling course because it’s something I’m deeply passionate about. Having the opportunity to learn from industry experts at Vogue was something I simply couldn’t miss.
Also, all the creative and hands-on activities within the program made the experience even more exciting and inspiring for me.
What significance does studying in New York City hold for you, and what was the most interesting thing you learned or experienced during your time there?
It pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow a lot.
Studying in New York City meant being surrounded by everything I’m passionate about, especially fashion and creativity.
The most interesting part was working on photoshoots as a team, creating concepts, and bringing ideas to life. It made me realize how much I truly enjoy the creative process and being part of the industry.
How did your experience at Vogue Summer School influence your perspective on your future studies or career path?
My experience at Vogue Summer School clarified my path moving forward.
Before attending, I wasn’t completely sure about fully committing to fashion, but seeing how the industry actually works made everything feel more real and possible. It helped me realize that this is where I see myself in the future.
It also changed the way I think about my studies. Now I’m more focused and intentional about what I want to pursue.
I feel more confident taking that next step, knowing that fashion is not just something I like, but something I truly want to build my career around.
What was your day-to-day experience like?
My day-to-day experience was very dynamic and creative.
Every day we learned something new, from styling techniques to working on photoshoots, and developing creative concepts. We were constantly collaborating, sharing ideas, and bringing them to life in a short amount of time.
It was also a very fast-paced environment. This pushed me to be more confident, organized, and open to new ideas.
Overall, it was an inspiring experience that made me grow both creatively and personally.
Describe your favorite day of the program. Where did you go and who did you meet?
My favorite day of the program was when we visited Condé Nast and got to see the Vogue closet. It was such a unique experience because we learned so many behind-the-scenes details that you can only truly understand by being part of the program.
Hearing stories from industry professionals and seeing how everything works in real life made it feel so real and inspiring.
What is your advice for future Vogue Summer School students?
My advice is to enjoy every moment and step out of your comfort zone. Take notes, pay attention, and don’t be afraid to ask questions because you will learn so much from your professors.
Be punctual and go to the afternoon activities. I highly recommend staying in the dorms to meet more people and really connect.
Also, communicate with your team and build ideas together by listening to everyone. That’s what makes projects more creative and fun.
