Mar Batlle, a professional in the luxury sector and passionate about the editorial world, decided to complement her career in fashion production with training that would allow her to explore her more creative side. She currently works at Loewe as a Product Manager in the RTW (Ready-to-Wear) and Accessories Production department.
Mar is also developing her personal project: Fashion Wellness, a newsletter where she reflects on the intersection of two worlds that may seem opposites at first glance but are inseparable to her—fashion and wellness.
Eager to professionalize her writing and better understand editorial language, she enrolled in the Vogue Online Course in Specialized Journalism in Fashion, Beauty, and Lifestyle. In this interview, she shares her experience, key takeaways, and why she recommends this course to anyone looking to grow creatively without setting aside their professional career.
What is your academic and professional background?
I hold a degree in International Business Economics and a Master’s in Fashion & Luxury Management from the Institut Français de la Mode in Paris.
After completing my master’s degree in Paris, I returned to my hometown, Barcelona, where I have since been working at Loewe in the RTW and Accessories Production department, managing the leather goods category. I oversee supplier follow-up and negotiations, ensuring that collections arrive in stores on time and meet our signature quality standards.
Previously, I worked at L’Oréal in the trend forecasting department, writing trend reports for the company’s various brands. That experience, along with my current role at Loewe, inspired me to launch a newsletter where I regularly publish articles: Fashion Wellness. This creative and expressive outlet led me to enroll in one of your online courses.

The session on fashion imagery and trends with Nuala Phillips, Fashion Editor at Vogue Spain, was especially impactful. We learned how to analyze runway shows and communicate the trends to a broader audience.
