A special project of your current job
Of all the projects I have been able to experience, the one that has excited me the most is undoubtedly the Glamour Women of the Year Awards. This event, which is held globally, honors and celebrates women who are transforming the world from different disciplines. It was my first major project as the head of the production department, and although it was a huge challenge, I felt completely aligned with the brand’s philosophy and the message we shared that night. Seeing it come to life was thrilling.
What is it that you liked the most or what do you remember most fondly?
Without a doubt, the trip to Paris. Visiting amazing fashion exhibitions and sharing that experience with 70 other passionate girls like me was a moment I’ll never forget. It was the first time I felt I had found my tribe, a space where we all spoke the same language.
How was your experience with the curricular internships? Where did you do them?
My internships were at Condé Nast, in the consumer revenue area. There, I fully immersed myself in the strategy of Vogue Collection, and I learned a lot about e-commerce, paid media campaigns, and how to translate the essence of such a strong brand into different digital channels. It was a period of significant growth, and a gateway to the Condé universe.
What do you think is the most important thing you learned for the work you are currently doing?
I believe that the Vogue Master’s in Fashion and Beauty Communication gave me a 360° view of the industry. From understanding how a magazine is structured internally (thanks to the editorial creation project), to the development of campaigns, budgets, and creative concepts. Everything I learned serves me today, especially to translate brand ideas into tangible experiences with coherence and aesthetics.
Any extra comments or anecdotes that you think might be helpful for someone who is starting out in this world.
More than an anecdote, a heartfelt piece of advice: never stop dreaming big, even if others say it’s impossible, because when passion and perseverance meet, beautiful things happen. I was born in Bolivia, studied engineering, and for years I repeated that one day I was going to work at Vogue. Many people told me it was crazy… but that 15-year-old girl never stopped believing.
