His career began in film, but he soon discovered that photography was his true language. He founded his own agency, led campaigns, and built brands. Years later, he chose to refocus on the essentials: his vision as a photographer. From Colombia, he came to Madrid to join the second edition of the Vogue Diploma in Fashion Photography (October 2025), determined to grow and solidify his personal brand. Here, he shares what the journey meant to him.
Tell us about your background and studies
My passion for photography started at a young age. I studied Film and Television and, after graduating, launched my own advertising agency. For years, I was involved in every process—photography, video, creative direction, production, and even commercial and strategic management.
At the same time, I kept learning: I took courses in portraiture, conceptual photography, advanced editing, color grading, lighting… even a fashion workshop in Mexico City. I’ve always been in a state of constant growth.
Over time, I gravitated toward portraiture and eventually fashion photography, a medium that lets me convey concept, emotion, and narrative. A year and a half ago, I committed to building my personal brand and refining my identity as a photographer.

How did you discover us?
It felt poetic. After attending a workshop with a Mexican photographer, I noticed on social media that her stylist was certified by Vogue. I thought, “Wait, does Vogue offer courses?” I researched and found the diploma in fashion photography. I didn’t hesitate. I knew it was the right place to grow.
What did the diploma offer you?
More than technique, it gave me a mindset shift. It was a total renewal. It helped me see photography from a more professional, more conscious, and also more straightforward perspective.
I struggled with imposter syndrome, but this program helped me recognize my progress and envision what I can still achieve—now with greater clarity.

What did you like most about living in Madrid?
The sense of calm. Being able to walk around, use public transport, and feel safe… that shaped my entire experience. Madrid is a spectacular city, but that feeling of peace was what left the biggest mark on me.
Share a memory you cherish
One class with professor Debbie stood out. We had to choose a photo and justify our choice. I focused on the technical aspects—lighting, framing, composition… But Debbie kept asking, “What do you see? What do you feel?”
It was a “sink into the ground” moment, but it taught me that photography isn’t just technique: it’s emotion, message, intention. That day changed how I see.
Which professor or session stood out to you?
Definitely Debbie. Her classes had a deep impact. While all the instructors were incredible—true experts—she helped me understand the emotional connection behind an image.

What did you enjoy most about the program?
The faculty. Seeing their professional level was deeply motivating. It was inspiring to learn from such talented, active industry professionals.
Why would you recommend Vogue College of Fashion diplomas?
Because they go beyond technique—they transform your mindset. They teach you how to apply your knowledge professionally. And of course, being certified by Vogue is no small thing: it elevates your personal brand and connects you with top industry names.
