Some career paths begin with a clear intuition and evolve through experience. In Patricia Pastor’s case, her journey began in the world of fashion, where she had the opportunity to study and work, gaining first-hand insight into its dynamics and language. It was precisely this background that allowed her to take a step further and discover that her true vocation lay in the luxury sector—an environment where strategy, creativity, and excellence take on a different dimension.
With this clarity, she chose to specialise in order to explore the industry from a global and contemporary perspective. The Vogue Master’s in International Luxury Business proved to be a turning point in her career, bringing her closer to the reality of the sector and helping her develop a more strategic, rigorous, and experience-driven vision of brand building.
Tell us a bit about yourself and your background
I hold a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from CEU Cardenal Herrera University in Valencia, and I also have specialised training in Fashion Communication. From a very young age, I have had a deep passion for fashion, although over time I discovered that my true interest lay in the world of luxury and everything it represents: strategy, creativity, brand experience, and excellence.
During my studies, I had the opportunity to undertake internships at companies and organisations linked to both fashion and communication, including Isabel Sanchis, Fundación Coso Moda, and various advertising agencies. These experiences allowed me to explore different areas of the industry, develop a broader perspective on the sector, and gain knowledge in communication, marketing, event organisation, and brand management.
Beyond helping me grow professionally, these stages were essential in confirming that I wanted to steer my career toward the luxury sector—an industry that inspires me through its ability to combine creativity, innovation, and excellence in every detail.
How did you discover the Master’s programme?
Vogue has always been a reference for me, both editorially and academically. When I started considering pursuing a master’s degree, I was clear that I wanted it to be linked to Vogue College of Fashion. After evaluating different programmes, I discovered the Vogue Master’s in International Luxury Business and immediately felt it aligned perfectly with my interests and the direction I wanted my career to take.
Why did you decide to study this Master’s?
I was looking for a programme that combined a strategic view of the luxury business with an international and contemporary approach. The course brought together exactly those elements and, in addition, featured leading professionals who work within the industry on a daily basis. It felt like the natural next step to complement my background in communication and fashion, and to move closer to the sector.
What was your experience during the course?
My experience was exceptional. From day one, I found myself in an inspiring environment, surrounded by professionals and peers who shared my interests and aspirations.
Each class was an opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, and explore different perspectives on the luxury industry. I would particularly highlight the quality of the speakers and lecturers, many of whom are active professionals who shared real-world experiences, allowing us to better understand the challenges and opportunities within the sector.
In addition, the programme offered numerous opportunities through visits, events, and exclusive experiences that brought us closer to the professional reality of luxury. It was a key stage that enabled me to expand my knowledge, build confidence, and reaffirm my vocation.

Which professor or session would you highlight, and why?
It is difficult to choose just one, as each professor and each session offered something unique and valuable. I would especially highlight the sessions led by Clara Sancho on management and leadership, for the approachable and practical way in which these topics were addressed.
I also remember with great enthusiasm the session by Marta Vázquez from Loewe, focused on clienteling—an inspiring class that allowed us to understand the importance of building authentic relationships with clients in the luxury sector.
The diversity of perspectives was undoubtedly one of the programme’s greatest strengths.
What did you enjoy most or remember most fondly?
What I remember most vividly is everything that happened beyond the classroom. I always tried to make the most of every activity, visit, and experience offered by the Master’s, as a large part of the learning also takes place outside the classroom.
I have particularly special memories of the trips to New York and Milan. Thanks to Vogue, we had the opportunity to access experiences, companies, and spaces that we likely would not have been able to explore otherwise. Getting close to industry benchmarks, discovering how some of the world’s leading brands operate, and understanding different realities within the sector was truly inspiring.
I also fondly remember the visits organised throughout the course, which allowed us to connect theory with practice and better understand how the industry works from the inside. In addition, Vogue provides a wealth of resources, books, and materials that further enrich the learning experience.
But above all, I cherish the moments shared in the classroom: the conversations, the projects, and everything learned alongside fellow students and lecturers.

What was your experience with your internship? Where did you complete it?
I completed my internship at Claudia Di Paolo Hair Wellth, within the marketing and events department. It was a highly enriching experience that allowed me to apply many of the concepts learned during the Master’s in a real professional environment.
During this stage, I took part in various projects and communication initiatives, which helped me better understand how a brand operates from within and the importance of caring for every detail to deliver a coherent, high-quality experience.
I learned a great deal on a technical level, but also on a personal level. I was fortunate to be part of a team that welcomed me from the very beginning and from whom I learned every day. Without a doubt, it was an excellent way to begin this new professional stage.
What do you think is the most important thing you learned for your current role?
Beyond technical knowledge, the main lesson I take away is that passion, consistency, and attitude are just as important as formal training. Success does not come immediately; it is built day by day through effort, curiosity, and perseverance.
I also came to understand the importance of building strong, long-term relationships. In the luxury sector, beyond products or services, what truly makes a difference is the experience created and the ability to build trust with clients, teams, and professionals.
