Could you share a little about your background and current work?

My background sits at the intersection of fashion and digital innovation. I’m the co-founder of Rendered Fits, a specialist Shopify virtual try-on application designed to bring the fitting room experience online.

Our product allows customers to virtually visualize garments on themselves before purchasing them. This improves confidence in online buying decisions, reduces returns and enhances the overall customer experience.

As fashion retail continues shifting further online and physical stores become less central to the customer journey, consumers are looking for more immersive and personalized digital shopping experiences.

Alongside improving the customer experience, the technology also addresses major commercial and sustainability challenges within fashion e-commerce. Early data and wider industry benchmarks suggest virtual try-on technology can reduce returns by approximately 20%, while increasing conversion rates and average order value by 30%+.

Prior to Rendered Fits, I gained industry experience through placements with brands including Next, Joules, Brora, Schöffel and Femme Country Magazine, alongside completing Vogue’s 5 Days of Fashion Business course. I also carried out a styling council with Sinead McKeefrye, who styles Claudia Winkleman for The Traitors.

What made you choose Vogue College of Fashion for your studies?

I chose Vogue College of Fashion because I am always looking for ways to further develop and add value to my career. When I enrolled in the course, I was actively exploring how I could strengthen my business skills and apply them more directly within the fashion industry.

Vogue College felt like the perfect fit due to its strong industry connections, practical focus and reputation within the fashion world. The opportunity to engage with industry environments was particularly valuable, in addition to the access the College offers to a wide network of experienced professionals.

Describe your favorite day of the course. Where did you go, who did you meet?

My favorite day of the course was the final day, when we were tasked with applying everything we had learned to design an event concept for Vogue. Working in teams, we had to consider the target audience, overall experience and execution before pitching our ideas. It was a great opportunity to bring together all the skills developed throughout the course in a practical, creative setting.

Another highlight was the visit to the Condé Nast headquarters at Adelphi House, where we attended talks by leading industry professionals. Hearing directly from people working at the heart of the fashion media industry was particularly insightful and inspiring.

Beyond the structured sessions, one of the most valuable aspects of the course was the people. It was a diverse group, with participants from all over the world, all sharing the same interest in fashion.

Can you share an example of an assignment that you particularly enjoyed?

One assignment I enjoyed was on the fourth day of the course, when we conducted a market and competitor analysis across several of London’s flagship fashion stores.

We worked in groups and visited the stores in person, analyzing key elements such as store layout, product assortment, pricing and how each brand differentiated itself within the luxury and contemporary fashion market. It was an engaging and practical exercise, as it allowed us to observe brand strategy first-hand in a real retail environment.

How has the program contributed to your professional growth?

The program contributed to my professional growth by helping me refine how I position myself within the fashion and digital innovation space. It reinforced my interest in the intersection between fashion, technology and consumer experience, which is central to my work with Rendered Fits.

It also strengthened my ability to think commercially and strategically about fashion projects, particularly in how brands communicate value and experience to consumers. This has been directly relevant to developing Rendered Fits as a virtual try-on platform aimed at improving online purchasing confidence and reducing returns.

What specific lessons from this course have influenced your approach as co-founder of Rendered Fits?

The course strengthened my understanding of premium brand alignment and how digital products integrate seamlessly with a brand’s existing identity. A key takeaway was how consistency across retail, editorial and digital touchpoints is essential in maintaining a cohesive brand experience.

This has directly informed the development of Rendered Fits’ brand image, which has been intentionally designed to feel premium and adaptable, ensuring it can integrate smoothly with a wide range of fashion brands without diluting their visual identity.

It also influenced how we structure our commercial model, particularly in positioning Rendered Fits as a primarily subscription-based service. This required thinking carefully about pricing strategy and how to make the platform accessible and scalable for brands of different sizes, from emerging labels to established fashion houses.

How has your experience as a junior writer and stylist at Femme Country Magazine shaped your perspective on fashion storytelling and styling?

My experience as a junior writer and stylist at Femme Country Magazine, founded by my colleague Brontë Clare Mitchell (also a Vogue College graduate), shaped my perspective on fashion storytelling—specifically, how tone, styling and context shift depending on the intended reader and setting.

I learned that fashion is highly situational, and effective storytelling requires a clear understanding of who you are communicating to and the environment the clothing is being styled for.

A key part of my role involved styling outfits and selecting pieces that worked cohesively while still being appropriate for specific countryside settings, such as country events. This required balancing practicality with aesthetic appeal, ensuring looks felt authentic, functional and aligned with the tone of the publication.

Who would you recommend this course to, and why?

I would recommend this course to anyone considering a career in fashion who is still exploring which direction to pursue. It provides a strong foundational understanding of both the fashion business and marketing sectors, offering valuable insight into how the industry operates in practice.

It is particularly well suited to individuals seeking to explore fashion as a potential career change, evaluate future university study or develop an interest in entrepreneurship within the industry. The course delivers practical exposure and industry-focused learning that helps participants better understand where their strengths and interests may lie within the fashion industry.
