On Sunday, February 23rd, master’s students had a unique experience at the 81st edition of MBFWMadrid, watching the shows from the exclusive Mercedes-Benz rooftop.

Throughout the afternoon, they attended the collections of six emerging designers who were part of the EGO runway for young talent. Among them, standout names included Pat Equilux, Alineo Studio, Bonet, Antonio del Canto, David Moss, and Marc Aleixandri, who showcased their latest creations in front of a select audience. Additionally, students had the opportunity to attend the show of Sandra Weil, the international guest brand from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico, an event that strengthens the connection between both fashion weeks and promotes creative exchange.

Pat Equilux

The collection “Espejos” by Patricia Fernández Iñesta, under her brand Pat Equilux, explored personal emotions and life lessons through deconstructed patterns and innovative textures. The collection merged masculinity and femininity, highlighting harmony and inclusion, while the color palette of whites, blacks, and pastel yellow created a deep visual narrative.

Alineo Studio

Alineo Studio presented its collection “Mermaid Madrid”, taking us on a transformative journey, like a fish discovering a reef. The collection stood out with its contrast between the high and low tides, symbolizing the process of adaptation and emotional release, featuring flowing fabrics and vibrant colors.

Bonet

Designer Ismael Aguilar Bonet presented “What do you dance to?”, a sensual collection combining lycra tulle, faux leather, and rhinestones. The collection was marked by body-hugging silhouettes and a minimalist color palette, designed to evoke femininity and passion through bold and form-fitting pieces.

Antonio del Canto

The collection “Kiss Me at the Gate” by Antonio Del Canto was inspired by the novel Anna Karenina, focusing on its tragic love story. With dramatic volumes and fabrics such as taffeta and satin, the collection addressed romantic and dark aesthetics, blending historical influence with a contemporary fashion vision.

David Moss

David Moss presented his collection “Metamorphosis”, exploring internal transformation and personal rebirth. With sculptural silhouettes and a play of light and shadow, the collection celebrated resilience, representing struggle and acceptance through pieces that combined organic and geometric forms.

Marc Aleixandri

One of the most awaited moments of the day was the 25th edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent Award, where Marc Aleixandri, creator of Aleixandri Studio, was recognized as the best emerging designer of the event. His collection, “Violetas”, inspired by the fight of those who sought to remain true to themselves during the Franco era, proposed a dialogue between the past, present, and future, demonstrating impeccable execution.
