Can you share some background on yourself and your current role?
I am originally from Philadelphia, PA and have been an avid lover of all things fashion from a young age. In my free time, I am a competitive equestrian and love to travel! I have worked in organic social media since graduating with my bachelor’s degree in mass communications in 2021.
Since then, I’ve worked for numerous fashion, home and lifestyle brands. I started my career with the URBN corporation on the social media team for Anthropologie, Anthroliving and Anthro Weddings. My responsibilities included content creation, influencer management, social creative direction, community management and more. I have also worked in the sports media space, most specifically equestrian sports, to partner with fashion and lifestyle brands including Rolex and Hermès to bring these collaborations to life.
Now, I’m a creative consultant for a fashion agency in New York where I help clients develop their creative direction on social. I love working in person, on set and creating content in real time.
What made you choose Vogue College of Fashion for your studies?
I have always wanted to visit London, so when this opportunity presented itself, I simply could not pass it up. The overall structure of the program, the teachers and the experiential learning all packed into one month almost seemed too good to be true!

Which course did you enroll in and why?
I chose to enroll in the Fashion Media course, which offered an inside look into the science behind the Vogue editorial process that I had not been privy to before. While my background was mostly in digital media, this course offered an inside look at the actual construction of Vogue magazine and the art of the pitch that ultimately puts the magazine together.
What were the most valuable skills you gained during the program?
This program helped me to hone my communication skills when it came to expressing a creative idea and bringing it to life. During class, we were able to practice being articulate, clear, concise and intentional with our creative decisions. This was a crucial part of putting our final project together, because we were always beholden to answering the question, “why?”. As long as we could justify our creative choices with an intentional connection back to the prompt, we could keep the creative elements. It was an excellent exercise for strengthening media literacy skills and removing personal biases from creative choices.
Describe your favorite day of the program. Where did you go, who did you meet?
My absolute favorite day of the program was the shoot day for our “classics” piece. The task was to choose one piece from a rack of “classic” clothing items and identify a theme/concept, technical moodboard and creative direction for an on-model shoot. Working in person with professional hair and makeup artists, photographers and our wonderful model to bring our vision to life was a joyous, empowering and confidence-boosting experience that I take with me whenever I am on set now. I will never forget going from the test shots to seeing the final product develop throughout the day as we collaborated in real time to capture the vision. It was such a fun and rewarding experience to compare the technical moodboards pre-shoot to what we were able to create in the end.

What was your day-to-day experience like?
My day-to-day experience was very similar to a 9-5 schedule. I walked to class every day and met up with my designated group each morning. It was always fun to meet up with the friends I’d made and grab coffee together before the day started. The first half of the day primarily consisted of lectures that correlated to which part of the project we were working on. After lunch, the second half of the day was much more of a collaborative workshop, where each group would pair off to practice styling pieces, take pictures of streetwear or visit a museum for concept inspiration. Each Friday, there was an industry guest speaker who would join both courses for a panel discussion and interactive Q&A, which was always a treat to end the week.
How has the program contributed to your growth, either professionally or academically?
This program has contributed to my professional growth in ways I could not have imagined or expected. Firstly, the one-on-one coaching with the leaders of the Fashion Media course was invaluable. The coaching sessions were masterclasses in fashion media with professionals who I would have otherwise not had access to collaborate with, unless I worked at Condé Nast myself.
The practical and technical skills involved in moodboarding and creative pitching to drive a business goal and tell a meaningful, thematic story are skills I use daily in my current role when interfacing with new clients and pitching fresh social ideas.
The most fun surprise of all is how far-reaching the Vogue College of Fashion network truly is. Since finishing the program, I have run into other students and guest speakers at industry events, traveling abroad and in mutual friend circles. These relationships have strengthened my connection to both the industry and those working to shape it. It is a community I am proud to be a part of and honored to represent.
