Application Requirements
This page outlines entry requirements and processes for the 3-year BA (Hons) Fashion Communication & Industry Practice at Vogue College of Fashion – London campus. Please click the tabs on the left for further information.
Vogue College of Fashion is committed to fair, transparent and inclusive admissions practices. Applications are assessed by trained admissions staff and academic colleagues, and are considered on individual merit against published admissions criteria.
Decisions are based on the overall strength of an application and evidence of the applicant’s preparedness for undergraduate study. Admissions decisions are made fairly, consistently and in accordance with the College’s Admissions Policy.

Entry Requirements
UK applicants (home students)
For UK applicants, a minimum of 120 UCAS tariff points is required for entry. Your predicted or actual grades can be used on the UCAS Tariff Calculator to calculate your points.
Please note that transfer applications from UK institutions and APEL applications are not currently accepted, and direct entry into the second or third year of the course is not available.
International applicants (including EU)

Age Requirement
Applicants must be aged 18 or over on 1 September of the academic year in which the programme commences.
Reference
All BA applicants are expected to have at least one academic or professional reference. Applications without references will be treated as incomplete, and may be rejected.
Portfolio & Personal Statement
Written submission
One written piece (600-800 words) on a relevant fashion or media topic.
You may submit an existing piece of writing on any subject, or create a new piece specifically for your application. There are some ideas from which to choose here.
Creative work

Personal Statement
Your personal statement is a key part of your application. It allows us to understand your interests, motivations, and creative perspective. As you can imagine, we receive hundreds of applications each year, so it’s important to make your statement engaging, authentic, and memorable. Here are some tips to help you make your statement vibrant and interesting here.
Application Review
Once we’ve received your application and any supplemental materials, we’ll begin reviewing it. You may then be invited to a 20–30 minute interview with a member of our faculty on a specified date – this is also a great chance to learn more about your program and the Vogue College of Fashion community.
Admissions decisions are made holistically, taking account of academic achievement, written submissions, creative work, personal statement and interview performance where applicable.
Applicants will normally receive a decision within the published admissions timeline.
Offers may be unconditional or conditional upon achievement of specified academic qualifications and/or the provision of required documentation.

Academic Potential
We assess your ability to engage successfully with undergraduate-level study. This may be demonstrated through your qualifications, written submission, personal statement and interview.
Critical Thinking and Intellectual Curiosity
We are interested in applicants who can analyse ideas, ask thoughtful questions, evaluate different perspectives and demonstrate a genuine interest in fashion communication and related disciplines.
Communication Skills
We look for applicants who can communicate their ideas clearly and effectively through written, visual and verbal formats.
Creativity and Originality
Your creative work should demonstrate imagination, individuality and a willingness to explore and develop ideas. We are not looking for a particular style or level of technical expertise.
Motivation and Commitment
Through your personal statement and interview, we want to understand why you wish to study the programme, what interests you about the subject, and how the course aligns with your ambitions and goals.
Potential for Success on the Programme
We consider your overall application, including your academic background, portfolio or creative work, written submission and interview performance where applicable, to assess your readiness for undergraduate study.
We value applicants who demonstrate engagement with contemporary culture, fashion, media, communication, storytelling, image-making and creative industries. We welcome a broad range of perspectives and experiences and encourage applicants to showcase work that reflects their individual interests and creative voice.
No single element guarantees admission onto the programme.
International Requirements
For international applicants to the BA (Hons) programme, the entry requirement is the equivalent to BBB at A-Level. Equivalent qualifications are assessed in accordance with recognised UK qualification frameworks and credential evaluation guidance. Where necessary, we may undertake additional qualification verification, including comparison against UK qualification frameworks.
Certified translations of documents not in English may be required. We may also request that you provide a statement of comparability from UK ENIC for certain qualifications.
International applicants requiring Student visa sponsorship must meet all academic, English language, immigration and deposit requirements before a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) can be issued.
Meeting academic entry requirements does not guarantee the issuance of a CAS or the grant of a Student visa.
English Language Requirements
English language evidence requirements are assessed in accordance with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) and College admissions requirements where applicable.
International applicants are required to demonstrate proficiency in English at CEFR Level B2. Test result certificates must accompany applications and are required for all international students (EU included).
You can meet this requirement with a Secure English Language Tests (SELT). Below, please find the minimum required scores for our most commonly submitted English Language assessments:
- IELTS Academic: 6.0 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component
- TOEFL (IBT): 72 overall, with a minimum of 18 in Reading, 17 in Writing, 17 in Listening, and 20 in Speaking
- Pearson (PTE) Academic: 59 overall and in all components
Please contact the Admissions Team for guidance if you are planning to take (or have completed) another test.
If you are from, or have completed a qualification in, a majority English-speaking country, you may be exempt from the need to provide additional evidence of your English language ability. Please see the UK Government guidance here.
Student Visa Information
International students who do not hold immigration permission that allows study in the UK may require a Student visa to study at the College.
To be eligible for Student visa sponsorship, applicants must:
- Meet the academic entry requirements for their chosen programme
- Meet the English language requirements
- Hold the required documentation to support their application
- Successfully complete the admissions process
- Meet all UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requirements at the time of application and enrolment.
Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
Applicants who require Student visa sponsorship must obtain a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from Vogue College before applying for a Student visa.
CAS issuance is subject to successful admissions assessment, document verification, deposit and tuition fee requirements where applicable, and compliance with UKVI regulations.
Important Information
Meeting the academic entry requirements for a programme does not guarantee:
- An offer of admission
- Issuance of a CAS
- Approval of a Student visa application
All visa decisions are made by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
Attendance and Engagement
Students sponsored under the Student route are required to maintain satisfactory engagement with their studies and comply with College attendance and participation requirements throughout their programme.
The College has a responsibility to fulfil its duties as a Student Sponsor in accordance with UKVI requirements.
Before You Apply
Applicants are encouraged to review the latest Student visa requirements on the UK Government website and seek independent immigration advice where appropriate.
Vogue College works with approved education advisers and agents – however applicants are not required to use an agent and may apply to the College at no additional cost.

Reporting concerns about an agent
If you are an international student and received unsatisfactory services from your representative whilst applying to us, you can share your feedback and report your experiences by contacting the Visa Compliance Team.
We have a commercial relationship with our network of education agents. A placement fee is paid to overseas representatives who successfully refer international students to us.

Application Deadlines
Please note that in order to be considered ‘submitted’ by the deadline below, applications for entry in 2027 should include references:
- Early Action and UCAS Equal Consideration Date: 13 January 2027
- Priority Decision and Scholarship Deadline: 15 March 2027
- Regular Decision Deadline: 1 May 2027
Fees & Funding
Tuition Fees
Fees are confirmed on individual course information pages. The tuition fee published for the first year of study applies only to that academic year.
Tuition fees are reviewed annually and may increase between academic years. Any increase will normally be linked to inflation and will not exceed the percentage change in the UK Consumer Prices Index (CPI) published by the Office for National Statistics, unless we are required to make a greater increase as a result of changes in law or regulation.
Any fee increase will be communicated to students in advance and applied in accordance with the College’s Student Terms and Conditions.
Additional Costs
Please note tuition fees may not include some additional costs that may be required to be covered as part of your programme, including but not limited to: printing, stationery, materials, software, field trips, etc.

Scholarships & Bursary
Scholarships and Bursary
Please note: Scholarships and bursaries are limited. For this reason they are awarded competitively and cannot be guaranteed.
Please note also that successful scholarship applicants who choose to defer their offer to the next academic year will have to reapply for that year’s scholarships round, however, again, success in the next year’s round cannot be guaranteed.
Merit scholarship
Vogue College of Fashion offers a limited number of partial tuition merit scholarships to selected Home and International Students. After submitting an application to the programme, applicants will receive an automated message from the Admissions Team with a link to apply for the merit scholarship.
Application deadlines are TBC for 2027 intake.
Bursary scheme award
Two bursaries are available for UK applicants to the BA (Hons) Fashion Communication & Industry Practice, funded by the College. These bursaries are intended to support talented students who might not otherwise be able to afford the course.

Summer Program in London
Eligibility
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the start of the program.
- A minimum 2.5 GPA (or equivalent academic standing) is required to apply.
- For non-native English speakers: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 85, CEFR B2, or Duolingo 120.
Application Process
All applicants to the Vogue Summer Program in London must complete an online application. The process can be completed in just a few steps, and you may save your progress and return at any time before submitting your final application.
What You’ll Need to Apply
To complete your application, please prepare the following:
- Basic Information – Complete the online application form with your personal and academic details.
- Personal Statement – A short statement (approximately 150 words) explaining your interest in the program and what you hope to gain from the experience.
- Application Fee – A non-refundable £40 fee payable at the time of application.
- Academic Transcript – Your most recent transcript showing a minimum GPA of 2.5 (or equivalent academic standing). Transcripts must be in English and do not need to be official.
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed until all required materials have been submitted. We strongly encourage early submission, as places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Application Timeline
Every application is carefully reviewed by our Admissions Committee. We look for talented, motivated students with diverse interests who will enrich the Vogue Summer Program community. Applications are considered holistically, with particular attention given to students demonstrating genuine passion for the program.
While we aim to admit as many qualified students as possible, spaces are limited. Early application is strongly encouraged.

Tuition & Fees
You can tailor your experience to fit your lifestyle:
- Day Option (Tuition Only) – Ideal for students based near the London campus or those who prefer to arrange their own accommodation. Includes full access to academic and social programming.
- Residential Option (Tuition + Accommodation) – For an additional fee, students may live in centrally located dorm-style housing, allowing full immersion in the program experience.
Payment Plans
- Students may enrol in an automated instalment plan.
- A non-refundable £2,500 deposit is required.
- The remaining balance is split into equal instalments.
- Full tuition must be paid one month before the program start date.
Scholarships
Students who apply before January 15, 2026 may secure a discounted early tuition rate. Limited merit scholarships may also be available.
To express interest in a merit scholarship, email admissions@voguecollege.com with a short statement explaining how the funding would support your participation and future goals. If awarded, scholarships are applied directly to the student’s account.
International Students – London Campus
Vogue Summer Program welcomes international students and fosters a diverse, globally minded learning environment.
Both domestic and international students may take the course for credit at our London campus.
Please note that we do not issue sponsored student visas for this program. Most international students attend on a Standard Visitor visa. Students should confirm visa requirements with their local embassy or government office. More information is available at:

All students must be proficient in written and spoken English. For non-native speakers, we recommend a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL iBT score of 78.
What Visa Is Needed for This Program?
Visitors to the UK who do not hold a visa or eVisa may need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). Airlines may require proof of ETA approval before boarding.
As of January 2025, the ETA costs £16 and is valid for two years. Processing typically takes around three days, so applications should be submitted before booking travel.
