Academic Entry Requirements
UK applicants must achieve a minimum of 96 UCAS tariff points and your predicted/confirmed grades can be calculated using Calculate your UCAS Tariff points from the following qualifications:
- Three A-Levels
- Vogue Fashion Foundation Programme
- BTEC Extended Diploma with grades Merit, Merit, Merit or higher
- International Baccalaureate
- European Baccalaureate
- T Levels
- City and Guilds
- Cambridge Technicals
- Access Diploma
- Access to HE Diploma
- Or an equivalent full RQF Level 3 qualification
International applicants should hold qualifications equivalent to UK A-Level grades BBB. If international applicants are unsure whether they meet the requirements, they can contact us for clarification. If we do not have a good enough understanding of an international qualification, we will submit a member enquiry to ECCTIS at no charge and notify you of the outcome of your qualification within 2 working days.
English Language Requirements
International applicants are required to demonstrate proficiency at Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Level B2 and test results certificates must accompany applications, such as:
Multinational Qualifications
- GCSE English Language with grade 4/C
- IGCSE English as a First Language with grade C
- IGCSE English as a Second Language with grade C
- GCE O Level English Language awarded by UK examination board (e.g. Cambridge International) with grade C
- GCE A Level or AS Level English Language with grade C
- International Baccalaureate with 4 points at Standard or Higher Level in: English A: Literature and Language and English B or 5 points in Standard or Higher Level in: English A Literature and English Literature and Performance
- European Baccalaureat with 5 points at Standard or Advanced Level in: Language 1 English and Language 2 English
- IELTS Academic for UKVI Level 6.0 or above, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component and are only valid for two years after the date of your exam
- TOEFL (IBT) with a 72 overall with 18 in Reading, 17 in Writing, 17 in Listening and 20 in Speaking are only valid for two years after the date of your exam
- Pearson PTE (Academic) with a 59 overall and in all components
- Cambridge Advanced (CAE/C1 Advanced) and Cambridge Proficiency (CPE/C2 Proficiency) with a CEFR B2 overall and in all components on the Cambridge English Scale Score (160-179)
- KITE – Kaplan International Tools for English with 426 overall and including 426 in Reading and Writing and 425 in Speaking and Listening
- Password Skills Test, including tests administered by NCUK or INT with a 6.0 overall and in all components
Pre-Sessional English, Foundation Programmes
- English within a Pre-Sessional English, Foundation programme from another UK HEI or a major private provider – CEFR B2 in all components. Considered on a case-by-case basis
Secure English Language Tests
- LanguageCert International ESOL SELT – B2 Communicator with Pass overall and a minimum of 33 in all components
- Pearson PTE Academic UKVI or Pearson PTE Home with a 59 overall and in all components
- PSI Services Skills for English UKVI with CEFR B2 overall and in all components
- SELT IELTS for UKVI or SELT IELTS Life Skill with 6.0 overall and in all components
- Trinity College London: Secure English Language Tests for UKVI – Integrated Skills in English (ISE) or Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE) with CEFR B2 overall and in all components
Please note if you are from, or completed a international qualification in, an English-speaking country, you may be exempt from the need to provide additional evidence of your English language ability. Age Requirement
You need to be aged 18 on 01 September at the start of the academic year in which your chosen course starts.
Portfolio Guidelines
You are required to submit a digital portfolio showcasing your creative prowess and intellectual acumen. Portfolios should include:
- One written piece (600-800 words) on a relevant fashion or media topic. You may submit an existing piece of writing on any subject, or a new piece covering one of the following fashion and media topics:
- Fashion Shows: Their relevance today and their future in a more sustainable era – Do they belong to the past? Is it a still a valid way to promote and show fashion? What could be the future of the show for a more sustainable era?
- The role and purpose of print magazines in 2024/25 – What purpose does a print magazine serve in the modern world?
- Two creative pieces e.g. photography, videography, styling, creative writing, or illustration.
Your portfolio is required to be submitted as one PDF document. We also accept web, blog, or video portfolios; if your portfolio is not in a standard PDF format, please include a document with a link to the relevant portfolio format as part of the application. The portfolio should demonstrate intellectual and creative abilities, originality, and a commitment to fashion, media, and luxury lifestyle.
Applicants without an existing creative portfolio should create a visual moodboard for a fashion shoot, explaining their creative vision. We also accept web, blog, or video portfolios, provided you include a link in your application.
Personal Statement
This programme requires you to submit a 500-word personal statement as part of your application outlining your suitability for and understanding of the course, the relevance of your background and your reasons for applying.
Reference letters and Curriculum vitae or résumé
Two references from an academic or professional contact. Candidates who graduated more than 2 years prior to applying may present two professional references if they are no longer in contact with the faculty at their undergraduate institution. A current curriculum vitae which includes short written summary of the applicants career, qualifications, and education.
Application Review
Once the admissions team has received your admissions application and supplemental materials, we will begin reviewing your application.
After we’ve reviewed your application, you may be invited to a 20-30 minute online interview with a member of our faculty. The interview process will also be an opportunity for you to learn more about your intended programme and the Vogue College of Fashion Community.
Following your interview, we will be in touch with an admissions decision within two working days.
